Last night’s gig at Chinook Winds was closed half way through the evening because security observed a minor disturbance from one or two individuals as they were leaving the premises through the casino. There were no disturbances in the auditorium apart from one guy who arrived drunk and was promptly arrested. Everyone else at the gig was having a great time, when out of the blue the bar was closed down, followed by an announcement by one of the events organizers that the gig was being shut down.
There were many disapointed and angry customers, and the musicians and groups were gob-smacked at the rash decision which closed the event after months of planning, rehearsing and promoting.
The event was organised to coincide with the release of the eagerly awaited Buried Head album, ” A Series Of Events”.
Buried Head are now seeking legal advice and are also planning a free gig at another venue to make up for the disappointment experienced by their loyal followers.
Two of the five acts did get to perform at the event, but Four Trees, Relit and Buried Head were not allowed to continue.
I’ll post news of the new gig as soon as we have it organised.

Tell Booker to post the video on myspace and youtube. I think that might help if it shows the whole conversation that we had with the manager.
Tyler’s seeing Chinook management this afternoon to find out what went wrong and to seek compensation.
